What do you think of what Jennings, the Bucks rookie, is doing right now?
Impressive. I haven't played against him yet, but he caught everyone by surprise. We'll see if he can sustain that high level.

Do you think that what Brandon did, going to Europe instead of College as a stepping stone to play in the NBA, is going to become the norm with players coming out of high school?
I don't think it's going to be the norm, but it might happen a couple more times, sure.

fer21
What's the reason why San Antonio cannot be solid defensively yet when it's something that's been done efficiently in the past? Could it be the arrival of plenty new players and that it takes them time to learn the defensive system used by the Spurs?
I don't think it's that. Last year we didn't defend well either. Everyone is at fault, but above all, those that play the most, which are at the end of the day the ones on the court.

cherny2004
Did you ever think about calling it quits, dedicate yourself to enjoy the fruits of your labor along with your family and friends, without as many responsibilities?
No.I like what I do a lot. Something I get pissed off, injuries really get me frustrated, but above all there's more good stuff than bad stuff.

Timcho_15
In an interview on Basquet Plus magazine in Argentina, you said it bothers you that a lot of people consider you fragile because of your injuries… Besides of that, what else bother you?
Quite a few! Je Je.. Wait for the book! ;-)

How do you see Oberto gameplay now that he's having more minutes to play and how will you feel playing against him?
It's going to be weird playing against him. I haven't done that since the Euroleague 2000 finals! So you can imagine. I see him well. I think without a doubt that he's going to be very useful to his team.

mdemian23
Are you going to extend with the Spurs? Is that one of your goals?
Yes, it's one of my goals, but I should be one of their goals too! Je Je. When the time comes we'll see if I stay or if I grab my bags and change teams.

Fernando
What team do you think can be the surprise team of the season? Phoenix maybe?
A lot of people didn't think Phoenix had it this year, but they're playing great. Atlanta is also very solid in the East.

About you guys… Do you think you can compete with the Lakers once the new guys mesh in?
We think so, but we have to improve A WHOLE LOT and quickly to do it.

kevin20
Do you feel like going to the Worlds Championship next year?
I can't even think about the Worlds right now. There's no doubt I'm going to like to go, but there's other things…

velarde
Would you like to play on the Lakers?
If it's no San Antonio then I'd like to play in any team that has championship aspirations and the Lakers are always candidate.

guilleDr
How do you see yourself holding your two kids?
Uhhh! No idea! I still can't picture it. There's still 6 months to go, so I have time.

Do you guys have some names in mind?
Yes, but we won't say until it's time! ;-)

Did you talk to Jefferson about the 2003 Finals? Did you talk to him about the steal you had in Game 6? (his face was like he wanted to kill you jaja)
No, no at all. The topic didn't come up.

santi2006
How you doing with Lost? Did you get to the fifth season or you got stuck on the fourth?
I finished watching the 5th and I'm really expecting the last one. We'll see what they come up with.

Do you have any new series to recommend?
Nothing new. I watch House, Monk, Chuck and I started with FlashForward but it didn't really caught me much.

MmP
Did you see El Secreto de sus Ojos? What did you think about it? If you didn't see it I recommend you to see it as soon as possible. It's good in every way. It opens up your mind.
Honestly, no yet. I wanted to go see it, but I ended up coming this way and didn't do it. I like Darín a lot (in what he does), so as soon as I can I'll watch it.

didemes
How could it be that missing players, two of them pillars of the team, you guys play so good, and when they come back the team plays worse? I know, it's just one game, but it does leaves that sensation…
Because we're no ready yet and we're not playing all too well when we're all together.

Talking about that, the lineup that includes RJ, Hill and you looks great. It's like you guys know where the other guy is, or it's going to be. Since Hill is in his second season and RJ on his first season, the connection looks surprising: Does it just happen? Or do you guys practice it?
Depends on the game you watch. If you look at the Utah or Portland game I'm sure you're thinking: "Please, those 3 play so bad together". We're trying to get to know each other. Sometimes the plays work, sometimes not as well as we'd like. There will be a time for regularity and consolidation.

claudio987
Did you look at the photo session in the forums? Please tell us what you think.
I looked. Some of them are great! Really good! I have a couple that might qualify, I'll post them when I have time. Thanks for reminding me, I almost forgot.

What did you think of Windows 7?
I'm still trying and getting used to it. It has a few 'toys' that are very useful. So far so good.

If you brothers would be the godfathers of your babies, who do you think would spoil them most?
Possibly Leandro, but it's hard to tell. They're both good with their godsons.

jalberto
What is it that your parents did undeniably well while raising and educating you that you would repeat as a father?
I really don't know! They were strict, but they never raised a hand. All 3 of us were pretty docile and obedient. When the time comes I'll sit my parents down and ask them the appropriate questions! ;-)

Ivan
I imagine that you have a good relationship with your new teammates. Who do you have a higher affinity/chemistry with on the court (both in games and practice sessions)?
From the new guys? Mmmm. Possibly with Richard, because he's the guy I'm playing the most with. We need to know each other more with McDyess and Blair.

sir_arles
Do you have any hunch about who is going to be the MVP this season? How about Nash?
Nash and Nowitzky had tremendous starts. Lebron and Kobe are going to end up being part of the conversation too. If Denver finishes up top, Carmelo probably will have a chance too. I hope I'm not forgetting anybody.

Let me ask you for advice: If you're a big man, more or less tall and you're playing against a bigger guy than you… What do you think would be the best strategy so he doesn't outplays you? (I'm tired of getting blocked, jaja!). Translated to the NBA the question would be… How do you face Yao being an average big in the league?
Ask Scola! There you have the manual with all the secrets! I know very little about interior play.

tymi-spurs
How is your health?
I was doing very well, today very bad. I had a strained groin against Dallas and it bothers me enough.

Do you think the real potential Jefferson offers will be developing as the season goes on?
Yes, I think so. I hope he improves with every game, if he's the MVP even better! The more he improves, the better chances we're going to have.

Your last few games, discarding the bad night against Oklahoma, were great. Are you going for more, or are you "scared" about your health?
Except against Toronto, I don't think I played that great yet. I think I can play much better.

At this stage when the record is 4-5, do you feel that the team, coaches and managers are optimist about title aspirations?
I don't know what others thinks, but it's patently clear that we need to improve A LOT because we're not going to get far playing like this. The good news is that this is just getting started and we have plenty of time.

TRU
The playoffs are different. Home court is relative. If we're ok and play the way we're supposed to play, we have chances. No doubt.

WALY
One question and now that she's pregnant: When are we going to do a Q & A with Many?
Jeje! It didn't even cross my mind. Maybe we'll do it, but with a filter! Je Je. I'll pass on the questions I want! What do you think? ;-)

You're going to have to pass a filter both on the questions and the answers.
That's funny!! I answered above without seeing this comment… you guys have been in the forum for years, I can see you know me! ;-)

andreaz
I imagine that the arrival of a kid makes you re-think a few things, where to raise them, housing, etc. Where would you like your kids to be raised if you could choose? In Argentina (Bahia Blanca) or United States?
I always thought Bahia Blanca because all my family and friends are there and is also close to Many's family, but I really don't know where I'm going to be.

How did you guys gave the news to the new grandpas?
Mine through Skype. I shoed them the ultrasound. Many over the phone.

Both last season and this season I noticed that when Tim and Tony play, specially Tony, there are some players that don't play as well as when they're not there. Last year it was Hill and mason, and this year happened the same thing with Jefferson in the game where Tim and Tony returned from injuries. Is there any reason why they don't play as well when they have to share the court with Tim and Tony? Did Pop talk about it? Did somebody notice? What's your opinion?
When the best players are out, the rest knows they have to step up their games to have a chance. When the best players come back, the rest kind of relax a bit, and they also get less contact with the ball. It's normal. The coach puts the ball in the hands of his best players more often.

Francisco
Is there a difference between the US English and the British English languages? How hard was to learn the language?
Yes, they're fairly different. It's a matter of getting used to it. The language wasn't that hard for me because I spoke fairly well when I got here.

You said that you went to English class and you know the language more or less. Once you knew the language… was it hard to interact with the american people considering how difficult that language is and the slang that I'm sure exists there too?
No, not at all. I never spoke "British" English because I always practiced by speaking to the american players in my teams, so I was used to it.

If you had to pick a country to spend the rest of your life, honestly, if you didn't have to take into account the people you know, friends, etc. I mean, taking into account the quality of life and the population wellbeing, United States or Argentina?
Quality of life is better here. It's no mystery. It's just that there are a lot of things to evaluate before selecting a definitive place.

Who is the player you hate the most on the court because he likes to brag? What player would you prefer to be on your team instead of having to play against him?
I can't answer either question. It's not appropriate. Don't get me wrong… I could answer them, but I shouldn't!

With the typical English education you receive in schools (in Argentina), is it enough to interact and speak with the Americans? Do you watch the NFL? If you do, what team do you root for? What do you think about Chapu? Because a few weeks ago he got arrested for driving drunk, and I want to know if it's because he's playing in Sacramento.
Now you made too many questions. It's somebody else's turn.

akd_seba
What's your objective this regular season? Try to finish in the top 4 to have home court advantage in the first game, dodge the Lakers and stay fresh? Try to win the conference and have home court advantage the entire playoffs? Or just try to make the playoffs regardless of the position?
Be number one and be the best team in the NBA. If we can manage that, try to be as high up as possible, but playing well and getting ready for the playoffs.

Individually speaking. What's the goal for you this season? Average a certain amount of points? Average a certain amount of minutes? Or just merely try to get rested to the playoffs?
My goal is to be a champion and feel good and useful for the team. I don't care how many points I score, that's relative.

The father normally prefers that baby to be a boy, even more so when it's the first one. Do you prefer the twins to be boys? Girls? One and one so everybody is happy? Or boy and girl don't really matter?
I have no preference at all. I have a lot of friends with daughters and they say they wouldn't have it any other way. 1 and 1 would be ideal, but honestly… there's no preference.

didemes
Manu, about the last few games and the performance of the team… it's not really a question directly for you. Please CC to Pop: Seeing that TP and TD are the reference players of the first unit, together with RJ and two more (Bogans and Rattlif, or Finley and Bonner, etc) and you coming from the bench with Hill. Wouldn't it be a good idea to bring RJ with you guys in the second unit? We saw a really good cohesion amongst you three guys, fastbreaks, assists, penetration, scoring, all 3 players!!! And if Blair also comes in to get rebounds and finish second chance points we would be set.
Go to the forum www.greggpopovich.com and let him know! ;-)

Romy_013
As a fan of U2 I'd like to know: What's your favorite U2 song? What was the moment that you thought was best or surprised you the most in the show that you attended recently?
Tough question! One, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Where the streets have no name, are the first few songs that came to mind.. But I'm not sure they're the one I like the most.

patulo
In your opinion. Who is the best basketball player from Tucuman of all time and why?
Lucas Victoriano, because he's the one I know the most, he played in Real Madrid, 2nd place in the Worlds, etc etc etc.

manualvaredo
Does Fabricio pays you to be on his radio show on every show?
No, we still haven't agreed on a fee! Je Je. I missed the last show, and we'll see if we can share the next one, but we have to make Chapu, Carlitos or Luifa talk as soon as possible.

What was that of swatting the bat? Were you thinking about it or it was just a reaction?
I thought I could catch him… Since nobody else seemed to want to do it and I did, I tried and got him. I just didn't expect what came afterwards.

Baru
I always used to ask you in this sessions "When are you going to be a dad?" or things like that… now I ask you: When are you going to write a book? Have you started? Do you plan on doing it?
Maybe someday I'll decide to do it. But I don't think it's going to be before I retire, so I hope that's a long time from now. We'll see if I feel like it or not and if I have some stories to tell or not! ;-)

When you opened your Facebook page, did you imagine the popularity it would have and the publicity? What surprised you the most? (Note: you have over 100,000 fans there)

You've spent a lot of months in Argentina this year, unlike in seasons past. What little things made you melancholic and make you remember moments from your infancy/adolescence? (For example, go by a street that you always used to, see a picture or medal…)
Honestly, even though I spent more time, I really didn't do anything that I don't normally do when I go for less time. I did the same thing, but spaced better, with more tranquility, etc. Going to Bahiense and Monte Hermoso are the things that get me closed to my infancy.
